Having a first aid kit on hand in case of an
emergency is very important! Here is a list of all the common
first-aid necessities.
Dressing and Bandage Materials
- 5x9 Sterile Pad-used to stop bleeding or cover large wounds.
- 4x4's, 3x3's, and 2x2's
- Non-adherent Dressings- In the case of an abrasion or burn
you need a non-stick type of dressing.
- Adhesive Tape
- Adhesive Bandages
- Triangular Bandage- You can make a sling with this.
- Elastic Bandage- used for support in case of a sprain or
strain.

- Bandage Scissors
- Cold Compress
- CPR Shield
- Plastic Re-sealable bag
- Safety pins
Wound Care
- Latex Gloves
- Butterfly Closures-pulls small wound edges together
- Moleskin-Cover a blister site with this to prevent further
rubbing.
- Antiseptic Towelette- A wipe that can clean any skin adjacent
to a wound.
- Iodine Swab- Can also clean around a wound site.
- Antibiotic Ointment-To help prevent an infection.
