How to Prevent a Sunburn
Ouch! Be prepared. Don't get a sunburn!
Difficulty Level: medium
Time Required: Twenty Minutes
Here's How:
- Try to limit your time in the sun during the peak hours of 10am and
3pm.
- Wear a hat to shade yourself and protect your eyes
- Wear sunglasses with ultraviolet protection.
- Wear lightweight clothing to cover as much of your skin as possible.
- Put on sunscreen that is at least a SPF 15. Do this 30 minutes before you
go out into the sun.
- Every three to four hours you need to reapply sunscreen.
- If your skin is already red use a sun block with a much higher SPF.
Tips:
- Know your skin type. If you have fair skin be especially careful in the
sun.
