How to Make a Life-size Model of Your Body

Here is a cool project you can do to find out more about your body.

Difficulty Level: average      Time Required: 30 minutes

Here's How:

  1. You will need a friend, large brown or white wrapping paper or plain newsprint, a felt marker, scissors, and paints or colored markers
  2. Lay the paper down on the floor. It must be long enough so that you can lay down on it and it fits every part of your body.
  3. Lay down on the paper and have your friend use the felt marker to trace around the outline of your body.
  4. When the outline is finished get up and find your paints or markers
  5. Paint or draw in all of your organs.
  6. Label all of your body parts.
  7. If you want you can cut out your body and hang it up for everyone to see!

Tips:

  1. If you want you can make a separate body for each of your body systems, the skeletal system, digestive system, etc.
  2. For parents of preschoolers, this is a great activity just to get to know the outer parts of the body, i.e. nose, hands, mouth, feet, etc.
